Anyone with an interest in IT governance, security, audit or control would benefit from becoming a member of the ISACA® Scottish Chapter.
Membership of the association requires joining both the International association and a local chapter. When joining before 7 August 2008, you will receive membership through 31 December 2008. ISACA is offering the reduced mid-year dues amount for International dues for the remainder of 2008. Membership dues consist of:
- international dues of US $65(reduced mid year dues - a saving of $65)
- a one-time new member fee of US $30($10 online)
- local chapter dues of $60.
Full-time students enjoy member benefits at the reduced rate of $25.
Membership Benefits
Locally the Scottish Chapter provides:
- a forum in Scotland where members can meet and share knowledge and experiences.
- for members who are not able to attend meetings in Glasgow or Edinburgh, presentation slides are made available through the website.
- locally run exam preparation classes for the CISA® exam. In 2007 these classes were free to members. We also provide support and ex am preparation for the CISM® exam.
- quarterly evening meetings and at least one training day a year held in Scotland and provided free to members to help them to keep up to date and maintain their qualification. In 2007 the Scottish chapter provided a total of 14 CPE hours.

a regular newsletter providing members with information on what is going on in the local chapter, other events and relevant news articles.
- the quarterly DataWatch Online journal produced by the London chapter available free of charge by download from the website.
- reduced rates for training courses and seminars are negotiated by the chapter in exchange for advertising on the chapter website.
