The first CGEITTM governance of enterprise IT examination will take place on 13th December 2008. Passing the exam is usually the first step to achieving certification .
A grandfathering provision is in place for a limited time, allowing highly experienced IT governance professionals to apply for certification without taking the CGEITTM exam. Find out more. The deadline for receipt of applications is 31 October 2008.

Registration is now open for this event. The AGM will be held from 9 - 9.30am in the Royal Society of Edinburgh in George Street. The agenda for this will be circulated to members nearer the time. This will be followed by the training day on the subject of Industrial Espionage which will be presented by Stan Dormer. Members will qualify for 7CPE hours. Refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided. Detailed notes will also be supplied. There will be a charge of £100 (£75 if registering before 15th May) for non members. Members can attend free of charge.
CoAudit is a software company based in Ireland with a free version of its Gander software available for download and test by end users at www.coaudit.com . The free version includes PCI, Unix and Oracle audits along with baseline reports in Excel and HTML. They are looking for feedback, good or bad, from professionals in the compliance / IT space in the ISACA® Scottish Chapter.
